About Wristin

our story

Wristin is a Dutch web shop for handmade bracelets with meaning, inspired by the Tibetan tradition. On this page you can read who we are, what we stand for and why every bracelet carries a story.

Our story

Wristin started from a simple observation: the most beautiful jewellery is not the most expensive, but the jewellery that means something. From the Netherlands we have been building a carefully curated collection of handmade bracelets ever since, inspired by the Tibetan knotting tradition in which every bracelet is tied with attention and intention.

We deliberately keep Wristin small. No endless racks, but a collection in which every design earns its place — from simple knotted bands to bracelets with beads and natural stone. That way we know exactly what you are getting with every bracelet we send out.

Meaning first

A Wristin bracelet is more than an accessory. In the Tibetan tradition, knotted bracelets stand for luck, protection and connection: they are worn as a quiet reminder of an intention, a wish or a person. That extra layer is exactly what makes a bracelet such a meaningful gift.

We explore that meaning every month. On the blog we write about the colour and theme of the month, and with the mantra of the month you can read which centuries-old Tibetan mantra belongs to it — what it means and how to carry it through your day.

Handmade & adjustable

All our bracelets are handmade and hand-knotted. You can tell by the details: the even knots, the finishing of the ends and the smooth sliding closure. Thanks to the adjustable closure a Wristin bracelet fits almost every wrist — from roughly 14.5 to 23.5 cm in circumference — so choosing a size is never a guess.

  • Hand-knotted, no machine work
  • Adjustable: one size fits almost everyone
  • Light and comfortable, even while sleeping or exercising
  • Available in cord, beads and natural stone

Colours with meaning

At Wristin, colour is never just aesthetics. In the Tibetan tradition every colour carries its own meaning: red stands for protection and strength, blue for wisdom and calm, green for balance and growth, yellow for optimism and energy. Choosing a bracelet means choosing a meaning — for yourself or for someone else.

Every month we put one colour centre stage. You can read about it on the blog, see it return in the mantra of the month and in our newsletter.
