Tibetan mantra of June
ག་ཏེ་ག་ཏེ་པཱ་ར་ག་ཏེ་པཱ་ར་སཾ་ག་ཏེ་བོ་དྷི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ

Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha

From the Heart Sutra: letting go, moving on, arriving.

This may be the most poetic line in the Buddhist tradition: the closing of the Heart Sutra, one of its shortest and best-loved texts. Freely translated: gone, gone, gone beyond, gone completely beyond, awakened, so be it. Not an incantation, more a travel report in five steps.

The mantra is about letting go without loss. Every repetition takes a step: away from what you are holding, across the threshold of what you know, towards a calmer kind of clarity. That is why it is often used at moments of transition: a move, a farewell, the end of a chapter.

June at Wristin is turquoise, exactly the colour of that transition: no longer quite green, not yet summer blue. If you have something to close this month, take the mantra along as a travel companion, out loud, in thought, or simply as meaning around your wrist.
